A bold new take on 'Nids, for sure. Here's my $.02:
Tyrant - does he really need warp blast? think about it, in two turns he's going to be in CC... with the rare odd turn where you happen to resolve the fight on your opponents turn, you might get a turn or two worth of shots out of a 25 pt upgrade. personally, being fliers can't take extra armor plating, i always go for the warp field. I also wouldn't spare any expense on this guy, go with +1S, Flesh hooks (for charging into cover), and even bio-plas to help even the odds in an out-numbered fight. This is your versatile cure-all for the table, anti-vehicle and troop all in one tight, hard-to-kill package.
Warriors - beautiful. almost exactly how i run mine, tho usually i run a single unit of 5.
Hormagaunts - doing the math (as i've always done) and assuming you're running 'full squads' (iow: more than 8 less than 20; in this case 12) you can get almost 5 more bodies per squad for the same price as you can get of the upgraded ones. Number theory favors quantity with 'nids. the extra attacks will, numerically speaking of course, equal out the lower averages. and when you throw other factors into the mix (feeder tendrils on one model granting re-rolls on CC to-hits now and catalyst making up for lower ini) which then you can drop points on a single upgrade that benefits multiple units while saving on points. with more bodies you also add to the survivability of your list... sometimes the simple math of how much meat you put on the table says your opponent can't physically deal enough wounds in 5-7 turns. Before you eat them, anyway.
Gaunts - more meat good. if you want the cheapest, then how about 5 pt spine gaunts?!? they're excellent for sheer weight! however, S4 shots from meat isn't anything to sneeze at.
zoans - no synapse? they've got two psychic powers and i recommend making full use of them! make the synapse grid locked and solid with the three different toughest models! or spice it up with catalyst to help gaunts charge covered foes.
Hope that all helps, if those are the units you were set on. Otherwise i would totally recommend dropping a warrior or two, making some other trims and throwing in a carnifex! even a cheap one can make take more fire than your opponent can throw out! And now they can run to get to those tasty, crunchy snack transports faster!
Anyway, rock on.
