Hello,
I'm new to the forums and Quarterstaff Games. I'm wondering how many people play MTG at open card night.
Is anyone interested in playing Vintage or Legacy format?
I stopped buying/collecting around 2004 with 8th edition and Mirrodin's new style being really very disappointing and distasteful to me at the time.
It was like the era had ended. The classic feel of Magic Cards, a pillar of fantasy, with amazing artwork, and all of that style that reached back into the 80's was over for me. The new cards seemed too contrived and flashy. *Imagine a 13 yr old kid digging into a christmas stocking and pulling out Magic cards and being super excited, then confused, then disturbed, then sad, then hiding it to stay cheery so it didn't seem like I was being ungrateful for the presents.*
I still wake up thinking about Magic strategies however. Its been a while so I'm a bit rusty.
But I'm eager to take on anyone who is willing to face me and my classic cards.
From Alpha to Scourge, I'll see if I can match up against the new stuff.
