Cheers all, My name is Blackwell Hird, I recently moved back to vermont from a long stint in New York and I am hungry to start a new game. I would prefer to DM DnD, either 3.5 or 4th, or even a combination of the two. But by all means I can do white wolf, mutants and masterminds, d20 modern. I could even run two games in different systems to vary the meet every week.

The point is I want to game and I am looking for other to do the same. Any day is fine, usually after 4.

I hope some one answer. Many some ones.

Hey, I'm in for a game. I haven't played 4th ed yet, but have loads of 3-3.5 stuff, and have also played Mutants & Masterminds, White Wolf and D20 modern (along with many others) that I'd love to get into a game of. Depending on the day/time I might also know another person or two who could be interested, I can check with them as I don't know if they post here or not.

Scott.

aHA! I knew there were a few good gamers in this land of dried up magic users! I am currently open to any day of the week so discuss with your other potentials and lets get things rolling. I was currently thinking of a 3.5 - 4th edition campaign in DnD though if everyone decides to play one version then Ill make adjustments accordingly.

Beyond that, when we have a time, lets meet up at the staff and figure out whose what and the like.

Cheers

also if more people are interested in one system more than another, like d20 modern, then I can certainly do that instead.

Nope, I haven't totally disappeared, I'm just hiding in shadows really well :-P. I'm still waiting to hear back from the other person I know. So is it just the 2 (possibly 3) of us so far or have you heard from other people as well?

Hmm it appears we may snag another player, and grisled old RPG salt from the days of yore, looking to get back in the hobby. It was a hand off from a game group father out that only does teens, so I'm still waiting for the guy himself to get in touch, but that sorta makes 2. You need to get your friend, drag him in if need be. Also some estrogen wouldn't go amiss either

Would this be a game played at Quarterstaff or elsewhere?

Ahh, well in fairness Quarterstaff is the most high profile and open place to do it, as most people know where it is and the have a really big table. However, If there is a different location you had in mind, we can field it here and get opinions. The only thing quarter staff does not have is a kitchen for the all important Gaming food.

I agree Quarterstaff is a pretty good location as people know where it is, it's fairly convenient for people in/around burlington, and it has a good setup. I also agree on the downside of no kitchen area to keep snacks (and more importantly to keep soda cold!!!). The only other problem I've ever come across was at holiday season (which is fast approaching) for a while in the late november - january times parking can be pretty tough to come by. So I'd be open to doing quarterstaff, or another location. I try to be pretty easy going.

Awesome. Faust seems to like meeting people on neutral ground. Just one more and we can kick this off. So exciting.
Faust is a dungeoneer of several years, but what do you like out of a game daeroos?

Also are you opposed to the idea of an ongoing storyline, or do you prefer one offs?

I've got a few years of gaming experience... around 20ish. As far as D&D have done everything from first upto 3.5 (haven't tried 4th yet). I've done a very wide variety of other games as well. I like ongoing campaigns overall better, although have had quite a bit of fun with one off games and such as well. Hopefully we can find another person or two who can make it for sure and get things going soon.
