Looking to run a game!

Postby SeanPhoenix » Fri Feb 22, 2008 3:45 pm

Hey all,

This is my first post and some of you may know me from Saturday & Sunday WH40k (i'm the new Dark Angels player). But my first love is role playing games and my group has fallen apart permanently! So, i'm in the market to run a new game (or play in one looking for players). Here is what I have ideas cooked up for:

Burning Wheel: Pirates game (PC's the pirates who ply the seven seas for booty and... well... booty)

Homebrew Firefly Game: Based off the short lived but well loved Joss Whedon sci-fi show. The PC's would be crew/passengers on a ship.

Mage the Awakening: Set in Boston PC's would be a cabal forced together through city politics.

And the biggie, the one I'd really like to sink my teeth into...

Dark heresy: I've got about a million ideas for this one and would love to start off fresh in a new system with a great group of folks.

Now, here is the thing. I know there are certain types of players who I would not be able to play well with. So, if you are:

Over 18
laid back
Not a power gamer
Like to tell deep co-operative stories that are based as much off of your character as anything I come up with.
like role playing more than roll playing
Are not as smart as me (Kidding!!)
You should drop me a line and we'll talk about setting up a game.

Cheers,
Sean

An important note was brought up to me.

When I said a person has to be 18 I misspoke. I should have said adult acting/not a l33t r00xx0r n3wb k1ll3r

There are many folk under the age of 18 who act waaaay more reasonable that folk over 18 so, in other words....

I also just realized the irony of saying "I want the cool kids" because we're gamers and none of us are cool... thats why we're gamers

Sigh, caught in my own web and talking to myself...

*Sulks off*

I know, the origional post was well over a year ago, but what are you up to now? I've never actually played any of these games (though I was involved in a massivly extensive pregame for a Mage the Awakening campaign that never actually started) I would love to give it a whirl. Though of course, in addition to never having played I also don't have books for anything but the Mage, so it all depends on what you're up to. I might want to play, I've been RPG deprived...
