Gaming at the Library

Postby SheepBoy » Thu Oct 15, 2009 6:18 am

The American Library Association is sponsoring the second annual 'National Gaming Day @ your library'. I have talked with Fletcher about it. They are planning a computer game centric event and at this time do not have the resources or time to expand it to include boardgames. However we are moving forward to try to get a regular event running there, hopefully during the weekends when QStaff's gamespace is otherwise occupied.

Tyler is seeing if the Montpelier library might be interested.

It's Saturday, November 14th. Check out their website: http://ngd.ala.org/ There are helpful tips there to sell your library on the idea if they don't already plan to participate.

Hmmmm....

I may have to check this out with the Barre library, or see if they've already got something planned...

Brennan and I will ply our game teaching fu among the feisty young denizens of Montpelier's Kellogg-Hubbard Library, so more of central Vermont should certainly get in the act.
