Check mabye if you aren't really sure/waiting for more people to play

Other means things like Mordheim.

If you say no, simply don't vote.

Oh and if you vote other, it will help if you say why you voted it. (So i know what exactly you mean)

I would be interested in ogre kingdoms. Any other ogre players out there?

I'd also be interested in a Blood Bowl league...

I'm getting more and more interested in Bretonnia. Are the pts. values in Fantasy also around 500-2000 normally, or are they normally much larger (which is the impression I'm getting from the Force Organisation Chart)?

Edit: Scratch Brettonnia, I think I'd rather try Empire. Need a jack-of-all-trades army to add to my collection.

2000 is the standard sized game, though people play at higher and lower point levels.

I only have 1500 pts fieldable, and have only palyed twice at that level. Usually much less.

For games under 500pts, there are special (free) Warbands rules available online. A great way to start an army and still play the game.

Is that too confusing?

The free warbands idea is a little odd sounding, but yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

In recent days, i've been talking with quite a few folk who have expressed serious interest in starting or reviving their Fantasy armies. The situation seems to break down like this:

- lots of interested new players
- a couple experienced yet to play in the store players
- 6 4'x'6 tables ready to go
- new fantasy style terrain in the works for the store
- access to full model line, simply not stocked on our shelves

it seems to me the ONLY two factors we're lacking are:
- a spearhead Game Coordinator: motivated and excited in the game. knowledgeable and seasoned, preferably. willing to setup, demo, run tournaments/campaigns.
- a truly dedicated time slot, which is to say 'COME HERE AND THERE WILL BE FANTASY PLAYED!'

the lack of both of these factors has lead to the current form of, 'Open GW days' which has seen the UVM crew come smash a few games out on our tables, but this has yet to reflect the interest i've been talking with folk about. Would people be interested in a kit snap day? to kick off your army and get the community together, i think would be a great start to a regular playtime. I'm all for having it coincide with other tabletop, just i do want to have Fantasy's own time to thrive.

Let me know your thoughts and I will endeavor to give you all what you need!

I'm really interested in playing. My only reservation is point size and all painted vs. partially painted army. I have 2000 points of high elves in proecess, but I doubt that they will be done much before July. Given that we have some, like myself, working new armies or reviving long dormant ones, what are people's thoughts?

I don't think anyone will be a stickler for using an all-painted army. I wouldn't be, at any rate. And as for army sizes, most 1 on 1 game are at 2k, but smaller games are tons of fun, too.

Most of the people I play with down here in Washington County are fantasy players. While we spend entirely too much time stuck in the real world of work, school, and kids, I'm sure we could make it up for some games once in a while.

I've got Lizardmen, Beastmen, and Ogres more or less painted and ready to go. I've also got Empire and a bunch of other Chaos projects waiting in the wings, fieldable but not pretty.

I'd love to start catching a game every now and again with you all. I'm down in Middlebury so its hard for me to travel up right now but after the 21st i'll be willing to make those hour trips up. I'm no novice, but neither am i a veteran at warhammer. Lloyd "knows" me or at least is aware of my existence on the skaven forums. Unlike him, however, I use all the clans in equal portions. I've got about 3-3.5k worth of an army... tho I think i only brought up about 2.5k worth.

I heard someone is getting into Bretonnia. Although my knights of the lady are boxed up at home, Id be more than willing to help start someone on that. They are an all around solid army that doesnt know the meaning of "dont charge."

Oh and I hope nobody IS too picky about non-painted armies. Ive got ADD when it comes to that part. I get hooked on one unit in one army then I'm like "Oh! what about those!" over in the next. so yeah... i have no armies even close to finished.
If you're looking to start or expand on an Empire Army, I'm looking to help! I've got about 1.5k worth that I'd really like to trade/sell. Preferable for the later... I'm looking to start a Dark Elves or Lizardmen army.

I'm absolutely down with starting. In fact, i've already figured out my first 2000 point Tomb Kings force and i'm psyched to get them, get painting, and get playing.

Did I hear there were other washington County folk on the board? Drop me a line maybe we can work some local, during the week, gaming out.

Cheers!
